Description

Brunello di Montalcino Riserva by La Poderina estate of Tenute del Cerro is born in vineyards located on the south-east side of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the Sienese municipality of Montalcino.

After the manual harvest follows the fermentation with maceration in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. At the end, a post fermentation maceration refines the tannins and releases more colour. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak with weekly bâtonnage for about 5 months. A further ageing of 19 months separates it from bottling.

With a beautiful intense ruby red colour, it has a fruity bouquet that recalls black cherry and red berries perfectly accompanied by balanced notes of vanilla and tobacco. On the palate it is warm and harmonious, with perfect structure and convincing tannic texture to offer a sip of long and pleasant persistence.

Perfect to accompany red meats and stews, this wine is ideal in combination with roast game and aged cheeses.
