Description
Elegant and pleasant label of the Gerla winery, symbol of what can be considered a cru of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation.
Only Sangiovese Grosso grapes, harvested with double selection, in the vineyard and on a sorting table, allow to obtain a first-rate must fermented with temperature control, with maceration of about 15 days. Ageing takes place for 24 months in oak barrels of various capacities, followed by the bottling at fall and further 6 months' stop in controlled conditions.
Intense ruby red in the glass, with nuances that tend to garnet. It offers ethereal aromas on the nose, followed by floral shades of violet and iris, to then express itself on spicy notes of cinnamon, tobacco and leather. The sip is soft and warm, with a pronounced fruit that accompanies the entire gustatory experience.
Fabulous to combine with game dishes and aged cheeses.
