Description

Brunello di Montalcino La Fuga comes from the vineyards of the homonymous estate, within the municipality of Montalcino, whose boundaries delimit the production of the DOCG Brunello. The Brunellis that are born in this area are characterized by a round taste and greater softness.

Produced with Sangiovese grapes, Brunello di Montalcino La Fuga is born following the harvest of the grapes which have reached full maturity, during the month of October. Following the alcoholic fermentation, in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 28 °, this wine remains to macerate on the skins for 15 days. Immediately afterwards, the malolactic fermentation phase in wood begins, followed by aging in 30-40 Hl Slavonian oak barrels, for about 36 months. After bottling this Brunello di Montalcino continues aging for at least 12 months.

Characterized by a deep ruby red color, tending to purple, this wine has an intense olfactory bouquet, with aromas of red berries, notes of leather and incense, and hints of chocolate. On the palate it is clean and austere, with an aftertaste characterized by moderate tannins.

Ideal as a wine to be served in combination with meat dishes, it is perfect as an accompaniment to game and aged cheeses.
