Description
Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi di Ruffino is born in the vineyards located on the Greppone Mazzi estate in Montalcino.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for 2 weeks. After maceration on the skins for another 10 days, the wine is aged in oak barrels for 36 months and for a further 8 months in the bottle before being put on the market.
It shows a ruby red color, with slight garnet reflections. The nose opens with an intense and elegant bouquet, with hints of cherries, plums and cassis, enriched by pleasant notes of cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it has an important structure, with round and elegant tannins. The wine has an excellent balance, with a pleasant aftertaste of notes of red fruits, in which there are hints of chocolate and sweet tobacco.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce and mushrooms, it is ideal in combination with white meats and aged cheeses.
