Description
The deep knowledge and the great love for Sangiovese led the famous winemaker Carlo Ferrini to buy a farm in Montalcino. The adventure began in 2002 with an estate located between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Sant'Antimo, in the south-west area of the Ilcinese territory.
The 6 hectares of vineyards are cultivated with a careful selection of the best Sangiovese Grosso clones, with the sole aim of producing a great wine. The rigorous selection of the bunches allows the fermentation of grapes of exceptional quality. The wine ages for at least 2 and a half years in 700-liter French oak barrels, followed by an 18-month refinement in the bottle.
It is a refined Sangiovese, with a beautiful ruby color and aromas of violet, cherry, red currant, citrus and herbs of the Mediterranean scrub. The sip is delicate and harmonious, clear and multifaceted, with a pleasant fresh and savory finish.
To be combined with first courses with meat sauce and roasted white meats.
