Description
The Brunello di Montalcino by Castello Tricerchi is an elegant expression of Sangiovese, born from the vineyards Vigna del Velo, Vigna del Castello, and Vigna dei Cipressi, located at 290 meters above sea level with a west-northwest exposure. The vines take root in medium-textured soils with the presence of clay, limestone, and sand, contributing to the complexity of the wine.
The harvest takes place in mid-September with manual picking and careful selection of the grapes before vinification. Fermentation is spontaneous, followed by a 30-day maceration in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 23°C. Aging takes place for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least 8 months of resting in the bottle, ensuring balance and elegance.
With an intense ruby red color and garnet reflections, it offers a refined bouquet with hints of ripe cherry, citrus, and sweet spices, enriched by earthy nuances. On the palate, it stands out for its superior structure, with present yet perfectly integrated tannins that lead to a long and persistent finish.
It pairs perfectly with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
