Description
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Casisano is produced with Sangiovese grapes from Podere Casisano, a place immersed in the centuries-old woods near Monte Amiata, at 480 meters above sea level on the hills rich in marl and skeleton located south-east of Montalcino.
The vinification takes place in steel tanks with the use of indigenous yeasts, following the traditional method with maceration on the skins for about 25 days. Subsequently, the wine matures 3 years in Slavonian oak barrels and then refines in the bottle for at least 6 months.
Deep ruby in colour tending to garnet, it unfolds all the complexity of red fruits on the nose together with refined and recognizable spicy notes. Of great structure, it is pleasant on the palate with smooth tannins that leave room for ripe fruit and a long persistence.
Perfect to accompany traditional dishes based on game and game, grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
