Description
The Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo di Frescobaldi was born in the vineyards of the homonymous estate, located in Montalcino, in Tuscany.
It is produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes, scrupulously selected and hand-picked during the first week of October. The fermentations took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over especially during the early stages. The wine was then subjected to aging in wood, where it was able to mature and balance itself. CastelGiocondo Brunello is ready to be placed on the market 5 years after the harvest and only after further ageing in bottle.
It is a brilliant ruby red wine, enriched by vermilion reflections. The nose opens with fruity scents, among which raspberry, black currant and pomegranate stand out, enriched by floral notes of violet and rose, which then leave room for spicy nuances of white pepper, anise and cloves. In the mouth it reveals a dense and elegant tannic texture and a full body. The finish is very long and warm, with a spicy component that stands out against the intense fruity notes.
Perfect to accompany red and braised meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
