Description

The Brunello di Montalcino of Cantina Le Chiuse is born in vineyards located in one of the most renowned estates in Montalcino. Today it is owned by Simonetta Valiani, nephew of Tancredi Biondi-Santi, who together with her husband Nicolò Magnelli and son Lorenzo continues to produce wines of the highest quality and longevity. The 8.2 hectares of vineyards follow organic farming.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested only by hand during the second week of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 29 ° C for 21 days. Subsequently the wine is aged in Slavonian oak barrels (20 hl) for 36 months, before being bottled.

This Brunello di Montalcino is characterized by a lively garnet red color. The nose opens with intense aromas of cherries and sour cherries, enriched by pleasant floral hints of violet and delicate spicy notes. On the palate it is elegant and pleasantly full-bodied. The wine has a good persistence and fine and velvety tannins.

Perfect to accompany roasts and stewed meats, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
