Description
The Brunello di Montalcino San Giovanni Battista from Cantine da Vinci was born in vineyards located on the hills of Montalcino and is part of the "I Capolavori" line.
The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes. The grapes are vinified in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for 20-25 days. The wine ages in Slavonian oak barrels for at least 30 months, followed by 6 months in the bottle.
In the glass the wine is ruby red with garnet hues. The nose has notes of blackberries, black currants, cherries and spices. The sip is full, structured and persistent.
San Giovanni Battista is excellent in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
