Description
The Vecchia Romagna Riserva 18 years is an exceptional blend of distillates aged at least 18 years in precious oak barrels and aged in barrels that housed Amarone della Valpolicella wine. Its intense aromatic profile is the result of ageing in French oak barriques, in large Slavonian oak barrels and of the ageing in barrels that previously housed Amarone della Valpolicella wine. A process that defines its structure and roundness, adding intense and refined notes.
The result is a luminous and brilliant brandy, a very warm amber with mahogany and golden reflections, capable of releasing spicy notes and tobacco leaves on the nose that are linked to the ethereal ones of dehydrated dried fruit and to the marked hints of walnut hull and fig. The raw material of origin, the wine, is expressed in the notes of sherry, port and Marsala. On the palate soft, intense, persistent. The candied fruit blends with the one in alcohol and with the complex notes of coffee, walnut leaves and tobacco. The finishing in Amarone della Valpolicella barrels gives a tannic and vinous touch that reinforces the structure and balance of the distillate. To be consumed neat as a meditation distillate.
