Description
Reine Pédauque's Bourgogne Gamay is a lively and fruity expression of the Gamay grape, coming from the renowned Beaujolais region. This wine is characterized by its traditional approach to winemaking, which includes cold maceration, cap pressing and pumping over for optimal extraction of color and structure, followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures and maturation partly in barrique and partly in tanks for a period of 8 to 16 months.
Visually, the wine presents itself with a bright red color and purple reflections. The sense of smell is a triumph of fruity notes, with a predominance of gooseberries, exotic fruits and peony, embellished with a light touch of black pepper. On the palate, it is delicate with soft tannins, aromatic returns of ripe fruit and a generosity in the finish that makes it particularly pleasant.
Perfect to accompany grilled or sauced meats, such as coq au vin, lamb blanquette or bœuf stroganoff.
