Description
Vincent Girardin's Cuvée Saint-Vincent is produced from 35-year-old vines, located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, on clay and limestone soils.
The grape harvest is manual. The selection of the best bunches is aided by the use of an optical sorter, then pressing and destemming takes place in order to obtain the must which will ferment in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. The wine then ages in partially new wooden barrels for a period of at least 15 months.
The Cuvée Saint-Vincent stands out for its intense ruby red color. On the nose it releases hints of blackcurrant, raspberry and strawberry. The entry into the mouth is soft and balanced, with good power and velvety tannins.
It goes perfectly with red meats, poultry and mature cheeses.
