Bourgogne AOC Hautes Cotes de Nuits Les Dames de Vergy 2021 Domaine Antonin Guyon

The Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Les Dames de Vergy from Domaine Guyon is an elegant red wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. The vineyard is located in the village of Meuilley, near Nuits-Saint-Georges, and is planted on a south-facing slope, with an area of 22 hectares. The clay-limestone terroir and the average age of the vines of 30 years give the wine complexity and character.

The grapes are hand-picked into small crates and carefully selected in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels for 12 days, with frequent pumping over and temperature control to extract maximum flavour and structure. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months, half in oak vats and half in large oak barrels, to develop further complexity and depth.

It has an intense ruby color and offers aromas of small red fruits to the nose. On the palate it is rich, well-balanced and with good persistence. The elegance and finesse make it particularly pleasant, with a structure that invites you to taste it calmly to appreciate all its nuances.

This red wine pairs perfectly with red meats, roasts and cheeses.
