Description
This Bourgogne Aligoté is a fresh and fragrant white wine produced in the Burgundy region by Joseph Drouhin. The grapes come from clay-limestone soils that give the wine a particular minerality. This wine expresses the tradition of Aligoté, an ancient grape variety grown with passion in some selected plots of Burgundy, often in the company of Chardonnay.
The winemaking process begins with the purchase of grapes and musts from partner producers, according to a strict quality protocol. The grapes are crushed in a pneumatic press and the musts are clarified before being transferred directly into tanks, where alcoholic fermentation and refinement take place for a period of between 6 and 10 months.
This wine has a straw yellow color with green reflections. On the nose it releases aromas of fresh grapes, with light acidic notes and a mineral hint of flint. On the palate it offers a pleasant balance between liveliness and softness, with a vibrant freshness and a light note of sweetness that makes the tasting harmonious and inviting.
Ideal to accompany seafood appetizers, fresh salads and light fish-based dishes.
