Description
Bordeaux Supérieur is produced by Château Croix-Mouton, which is part of the Jean Philippe Janqueix domaines.
The wine is a blend of Merlot grapes with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon. They are vinified at a controlled temperature in concrete and steel tanks with daily pumping over. The malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden barrels. The refinement of 25% of the wine takes place in wooden barrels for a few months.
Intense ruby red in colour, it reveals fruity aromas of currant, cranberry and cherry on the nose. The sip is juicy and slender, medium-bodied and with a good persistence.
Ideal in combination with cured meats, grilled red meats and semi-mature cheeses.
