Description
Château Guillame Blanc 1562 is a Bordeaux Supérieur that was born in the homonymous estate located a few kilometers from Sainte-Foy-la-Grande which takes its name from its founder. The vineyards are contained within a unique and complex terroir: Cabernet vines have been planted in the gravelly part, while on the clay-limestone slopes it is possible to find Merlot.
The starting varietal structure consists of a traditional blend of Bordeaux. Vinification takes place traditionally in steel at controlled temperature. The wine ages for 8 months in French oak barrels.
A deep and brilliant ruby red color is a prelude to an elegant bouquet of red fruits and vanilla, the latter deriving from the passage in the barrel. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with velvety texture tannins.
Ideal to accompany complex gourmet recipes such as duck breasts with caramelized apples or a beef steak marinated in herbs,
