Description
Chateau Mezain's Bordeaux Rouge comes from the Saint Laurent du Bois area, located in Entre-Deux-Mers. This region is renowned for its clay-limestone and clay-loam soils which contribute significantly to the structure and aromatic profile of the wines. The blend is composed of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, a combination that reflects the tradition and excellence of Bordeaux viticulture.
The harvest, carried out manually, precedes traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. This process guarantees the preservation of the varietal characteristics and the freshness of the fruit.
Visually, the wine presents itself with a brilliant garnet hue with hints of fuchsia, a prelude to a rich and fruity nose, where aromas of blackcurrant and candied cherries emerge. In the mouth, the structure is soft and fleshy, with notes of blueberry jam that make the palate complex and inviting.
This wine is the ideal accompaniment for cheeses, roasts and cured meats, thanks to its ability to harmonize with rich and varied flavours.
