Description
Château le Redon was born in the municipality of Cessac, more precisely in the village of Redon, so called for the curved and soft shape of this territory; in Occitan "redon" means precisely "round". The terroir is characterized by a clayey-calcareous soil from which quality wines rich in fragrance are originated.
Classic Bordeaux blend based on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, obtained through fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 26 ° C, followed by a 3-week maceration. Once the malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine ages in oak and steel barrels for several months.
It appears in the glass of a highly concentrated ruby red color. Scents of red fruits and violet envelop the nose, reached by some spicy notes. In the mouth it is delicate and fruity, with a long persistence.
Excellent to accompany cold cuts or tapas, it goes well with red meats and aged cheeses.
