Description
The Castello di Bolgheri is a selection of the best grapes around the castle of the same name that was born in the vineyards of the Tuscan company located in the famous Bolgheri DOC.
Obtained from selected parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, meticulously harvested by hand, this wine sees the light after a very careful work in the cellar. In fact, the grapes are vinified and refined separately, to extrapolate their strengths from each variety. After a maceration on the skins the must starts the fermentation process partly in barrique and partly in steel. Subsequently the wine ages for 20 months in barriques and 500 liter barrels, to then be definitively assembled after all the refining processes.
It has a dark ruby red color, with garnet hues. The nose offers a fine and particularly fascinating spicy scent, with fruity tones and floral sensations that blend well with each other. In the mouth it is full-bodied, fine in tannins and highly drinkable.
This cru of Castello di Bolgheri has aging margins up to 15 years after the harvest. It is perfect with well-processed red meats and aged cheeses of great importance.
