Description

The Bolgheri Superiore Torre alle Comete is an elegant red wine that originates at the foot of the Torre di Donoratico, situated 230 meters above sea level, in one of the highest positions of the Bolgheri denomination. This unique terroir is constantly caressed by the sea breeze, ensuring freshness and an ideal microclimate for vine cultivation. The wine represents the essence of the production philosophy of the Campo alle Comete winery, combining balance, complexity, and drinkability.

Produced from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the vinification occurs separately for each variety. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration last about 25 days in steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood. Aging takes place for 18 months in French oak barrels, with a combination of tonneaux and barriques, one third of which are new barrels.

In the glass, it presents a deep and bright red color. On the nose, complex notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and balsamic hints are perceived. On the palate, the balance between freshness and tannic structure creates a harmonious and persistent sensation, with a enveloping and intriguing aftertaste.

Ideal to pair with red meats, roasts, and game.
