Description
The red Bolgheri is produced by the Donoratico Castle on the Bolgheri hills overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Following the Bolgheri tradition, the wine is a blend of international vines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) whose grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The resulting wine is then aged for 9 months in French oak barriques and finally for 4 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red color, on the nose the wine opens on hints of red fruit, cherries, raspberries and plums, to continue on aromas of vanilla, with a vegetal finish. The sip is warm and dry, with a pleasant and quite long finish.
Ideal in combination with well-seasoned first courses with red meat and game sauces, but also with roasts and grilled meats.
