Description
Campo al Pero is the most classic and representative version of Bolgheri's idea of the winery of the same name. For the same reason, it brings the toponym of the area that constitutes the brand of Campo al Pero as a dowry.
Made from the traditional Bordeaux cut, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, harvested at the optimal moment of ripeness. The fermentation with maceration on the skins lasts for about 2 weeks. The wine ages for 6-8 months in French oak barrels, taking care that the contribution of the wood does not dominate the original characteristics of the wine.
It has an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. The nose is full fruit, with balsamic, spicy and musky references, evocative of a territory. In the mouth it is pure elegance, in a mix of balance and structure, with well integrated tannins.
Ideal in combination with local dishes, it goes well with game dishes or grilled red meat. Try it with a chestnut wild boar.
