Description

Dievole Le Colonne Bolgheri comes from a fine blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot and from a clayey and stony soil, which forces the vine to seek nourishment more deeply, giving the wine excellent minerality.

Its alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete vats with native yeasts for 13 days, at a controlled temperature. Finally, it refines for 12 months in French oak barrels and 3 months in the bottle.

It presents a dense ruby red color, with reflections tending towards garnet. The nose is immediately inebriated by pleasant hints of ripe, red and black fruit, among which blackberry and cherry stand out, and then delicately fades towards floral hints of violet that mix with vanilla, tobacco and toasted coffee. It reaches the mouth full, warm and rich, with a satisfying sip and a pleasantly vigorous finish.

It is the ideal wine to pair with good risotto with meat sauce as well as stewed red meat. Try it with a risotto with porcini mushrooms.
