Description
The Bolgheri Rosso Stupore of the Campo alle Comete company, owned by Feudi di San Gregorio, is born in vineyards located in the small town of Sughericcio, in the Livorno municipality of Castagneto Carducci.
It is produced with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place separately in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in new and used medium-toasted French oak barrels and tonneaux, and for at least 6 months in the bottle.
It has a very intense ruby red color. The nose opens with pleasant fruity notes of fresh plum and cherry that intertwine with spicy hints of cocoa and balsamic aromas of eucalyptus that recall the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with enveloping fruity notes and a pleasantly savory and fresh finish.
Perfect to accompany cured meats and aged cheeses, this Bolgheri Rosso is ideal in combination with grilled red meats, sausages and lamb.
