Description
Poggio ai Ginepri wine is born in the vineyards of Tenuta Argentiera, located in the prestigious and illustrious area of Bolgheri.
This wine is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes, vinified separately. Fermentation and maceration took place in steel tanks for about 15-20 days at a controlled temperature of maximum 28 ° C. Half of the wine was then transferred to used 225 liter French oak barriques, where it completed malolactic fermentation, where it is also refined. The remaining 50% instead carried out the refinement in stainless steel tanks. The assembly follows, at the end of which the bottling takes place.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with purple reflections. The nose offers a remarkable fragrant complexity, with notes of cherry, plum and currant that gradually blend with hints of white flowers and spicy sensations. In the mouth it shows an excellent structure and a good persistence, with a very pleasant aftertaste harmonized by fruity aromas and spicy notes.
It goes perfectly with elaborate and important dishes based on grilled red meat, roast meats and stewed meats.
