Dark ruby red. Notes of sour cherry, touches of pepper and bay leaf, closing on the notes of toasted dried fruit. Palate of great density and tension, with velvety tannins, excellent taste perception and persistence.

Description

Passi di Orma comes from vineyards located in the Livorno municipality of Castagneto Carducci, in the heart of the Bolgheri DOC.

It is produced from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, fermented for 18 days in steel, with maceration on the skins, at a controlled temperature of 28-30 ° C. The wine ages for 6 months in French oak barrels and for a further 6 months in glass before reaching the market.

It is characterized by an intense ruby red color with a purplish edge. The nose is a wine of great olfactory power, with hints of ripe blackberry and blueberry, accompanied by notes of toasted coffee and licorice. In the mouth it is soft and balanced, supported by a good tannic texture.

Excellent in the company of first courses and red meats, it goes well with game and aged cheeses.
