Description

Mosaico is a wine that has made assembly its distinctive feature. Three vines, three identities, a single territory.

In the clay soils of Bolgheri, in Tuscany, the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes express a character of radiance but at the same time of finesse. These are the components of the Casa di Terra mosaic blend, with a breakdown of 60%, 30% and 10% respectively. After alcoholic fermentation in steel by indigenous yeasts, the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels - 2nd and 3rd passage - and for a further 6 months in bottle. You choose not to filter the wine or to clarify it, in order to preserve its integrity.

Dark and deep ruby red. The nose first reveals a rich fruity texture of cassis, currants and ripe red fruit, then opens up to a complexity made of toasted notes reminiscent of coffee and tobacco. The entry of the mouth is soft, accompanied by a fine and smooth tannin. It persists in a long memory of red fruit.

To be combined with a braised beef.
