Description
The Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, produced by the Domaine de la Vougeraie, represents the excellence of Burgundy. Produced in a vineyard with a total surface area of approximately one and a half hectares, this wine is a pure expression of Pinot Noir, grown on limestone and stony soil, benefiting from an eastern exposure. Grown following the principles of organic farming since 1998 and biodynamics since 2001, it reflects the company's commitment to sustainable practices.
The winemaking takes place without pressing, without the use of selected yeasts or enzymes, followed by a cold maceration of 5 days and a total of 17 days. The refinement takes place over a period of 16 months in wooden barrels, of which 20% are new.
This wine is characterized by its structure and complexity, with a notable aromatic concentration showing a combination of raspberries and dark cherries in full ripeness that balances elegance and power, typical of the great Burgundy wines.
With a production limited to around 5000 bottles, the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is ideal for special occasions, perfect to pair with refined dishes such as red meats, game and noble cheeses.
