Description

Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon was born in vineyards located in the renowned wine region of Barossa Valley and in the Clare Valley, a land of breathtaking landscapes, in the heart of South Australia.

It is produced entirely with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 13 months in French and American oak barrels, partly new, before being bottled.

It is characterized by a garnet red color, tending to purple. The nose opens with elegant notes of black currant and plum, enriched with pleasant hints of tobacco, mint, rosemary and thyme. On the palate it is vibrant and fruity, with grainy tannins and a long and persistent finish.

This wine is perfect to accompany second courses based on red meats and game, fur and feather.
