Description
The Bin 28 Shiraz Kalimna of Penfolds comes from vineyards located in different areas of Australia, however most of the grapes come from the Kalimna vineyard, from which it takes its name, which is located in the renowned wine region of Barossa Valley.
It is produced entirely with Syrah (Shiraz) grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in American oak barrels, before being bottled.
Bin 28 Kalimna by Penfolds is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with violet hues. The nose opens with hints of blackberry and very ripe plum, enriched with notes of anise and ginger, with a mocha garnish. On the palate it is soft and fruity, developing elegant notes of chocolate and coffee.
Perfect to accompany meat sauces and grilled meats, this red wine is ideal in combination with medium-aged cheeses.
