Description
Las Lamas is a red wine from the Bierzo region of Spain, produced by Descendientes de J. Palacios with 100% Mencia grapes. The grapes come from a vineyard of just one hectare facing south, with vines over 60 years old, grown on schist soils that mix with clay and give an elegant aromatic and structural complexity.
The vinification takes place with an aging between 16 and 18 months in new French oak barrels, to develop the richness and depth that characterize this wine. The certified organic management of the vineyard and the low yields help to maintain the integrity and quality of the fruit, ensuring a final product of great balance and freshness.
On the palate it presents itself with a dense and velvety structure. It offers notes of ripe fruit and a hint of aromatic herbs, while the finish is long and enveloping, with a fresh and harmonious sensation. It is a rich and intense wine, but with a surprising lightness and vitality, in which the depth of the tannins is balanced with an extraordinary vivacity and freshness.
Perfect to pair with red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses.
