Description
The Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules by Louis Jadot comes from a historic vineyard acquired in 1826 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot. Located in the vast Côte de Beaune region, between Savigny and Pommard, it represents one of the 36 Premiers Crus of Beaune, a city known for its absence of Grand Crus but rich in vineyards of the highest value.
The grapes, carefully destemmed, ferment in tanks for 3-4 weeks. The maturation, which lasts 18 months, takes place in oak barriques, enhancing the complexity and finesse of the wine.
Ruby red in color, it displays complex aromas of ripe red fruits, earthy notes and an elegant touch of spicy wood on the nose. This complexity is reflected on the palate, where the richness of the fruit combines with a well-defined tannic structure and lively acidity, culminating in a long and harmonious finish.
It is ideal as an accompaniment to refined dishes of red meat, game and medium-aged cheeses.
