Description
The Beaune 1er Cru Les Montrevenots by Antoine Jobard comes from the Beaune premier cru vineyard of the same name located on the border with the municipality of Pommard, whose plants are among the tallest in the denomination, located at a height of 300 meters above sea level , on the slope of the Montagne Saint-Désiré hill.
The harvest, strictly manual, is a sign of meticulous attention in the selection of the Pinot Noir bunches, harvested at the optimal point of ripeness. After a 5-day cold pre-maceration, the must ferments in French oak barrels, using indigenous yeasts, which emphasize the pure expression of the grape variety and soil. Followed by aging for 12 months in partially new oak barrels.
It has an intense ruby red color. Persuasive aromas of oak emerge on the nose which intertwine with notes of berries, blackberry and raspberry above all, creating a complex and captivating bouquet. On the palate the wine reveals a medium-bodied structure with fine and well-integrated tannins. The finish is crunchy and tense, with a beautiful persistence.
This red wine pairs beautifully with rich first courses and red meats in general.
