Description
The Bas Armagnac XO of Château Du Tariquet is an example of what one can rightly call a high quality Armagnac.
The distillery in question is one of the great names of Armagnac, obtained from excellent wines vinified with attention to the smallest details. It starts with a blend of grapes divided into 60% Ugni Blanc and 40% Baco, carried out in winemaking and refined until the moment when it is considered ready for distillation. This last phase is still carried out using the historic wood-heated copper stills. Once Armagnac has been obtained, it is necessary to wait patiently for a further refinement of many years, which is why Bas Armagnac XO is never less than 15.
The amber color plays on rather delicate but extremely lively hues. The nose is reminiscent of toasted bread, spices, candied fruit and coffee. It is introduced, in the mouth, with the softness of vanilla and the decision of the well-managed alcoholic perception. It leaves a long memory of itself in the notes of dried fruit.
To be enjoyed at the end of the meal.
