Description
Château Nairac is located in the prestigious appellation of Barsac, a few kilometers from the Garonne, an optimal position to benefit from the humidity and autumn mists which favor the development of Botrytis Cinerea, fundamental for the production of this renowned sweet wine. With vineyards of an average age of 40 years, mainly planted with Sémillon, and small percentages of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, this wine rises to levels of pure excellence.
The grape harvest takes place between mid-September and October, selecting only the bunches attacked by noble rot which has the role of concentrating the sugars and aromatic substances inside the grapes. Following traditional vinification, it matures for 30 months in partially new oak barriques, allowing a slow and complex development of its organoleptic characteristics.
It has a bright golden yellow color. The nose is intense, embroidered with notes of saffron, honey and cedar. On the palate it is powerful but elegant, with a fresh and delicate finish that embellishes an aromatic persistence of rare finesse.
Excellent for meditation, it is perfect if combined with foie gras or blue cheeses.
