Description

Peter Lehmann The Barossan Chardonnay is a white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, grown in the northern sub-regions of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. These vineyards are characterized by yellow clay soils, silty sand and ancient alluvial sediments, which give unique characteristics to the final blend.

Winemaking involves fermentation and maturation in oak barrels, which add spicy and toasted notes to the wine. This process allows for a perfect balance between the fresh acidity and the complexity of the oak, keeping the fruity flavors intact.

Peter Lehmann The Barossan Chardonnay has a bright lemon yellow color with straw reflections. On the nose, it offers pronounced aromas of peach and nectarine, with subtle spicy and toasted notes resulting from the fermentation and maturation in oak. On the palate, it explodes with flavors of white nectarine and citrus, with a crisp, lingering acidity balanced perfectly by the toasted complexity of the oak.

This Chardonnay pairs perfectly with grilled fish dishes and soft cheeses.
