Description
Barolo Villero di Oddero is born in vineyards located in the Cuneo municipality of Castiglione Falletto, in Piedmont.
It is produced entirely with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in the first ten days of October. After a soft pressing, the fermentation takes place, with maceration of about 25 days, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 30 months in oak barrels, followed by a further refinement of 12 months in bottle.
Barolo Villero di Oddero has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with intriguing sensations of violet, typical of the original grape variety, enriched with notes of red fruits, cocoa and licorice. On the palate it is elegant and fresh, with a complex tannic texture that accompanies towards a finish of pleasant persistence.
Perfect to accompany game and braised meat, it is ideal in combination with appetizers and typical dishes of Piedmontese cuisine. Excellent as a meditation wine.
