Description

The Barolo Serralunga d'Alba of Fontanafredda was born in the Piedmontese town of the same name, in the province of Cuneo.

It is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected by hand during the first two decades of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 30-31 ° C for 15 days. Subsequently the wine is aged for 24 months in Allier oak barriques and in bottle, for a period of not less than 12 months.

Fontanafredda's Barolo Serralunga d'Alba has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. It opens to the nose with a spicy vanilla scent, enriched with hints of dried rose and undergrowth. On the palate it is full, velvety and dry, with a harmonious and persistent finish.

Perfect in combination with red meat dishes and medium and long-aged cheeses, it is ideal as a meditation wine.
