Description

Barolo Monvigliero is the most important label of this ancient Langhe winery, which has managed to preserve an authentic familiar face over time. The estate is located in Verduno, in the northernmost area of the Barolo appellation. The grapes come from a vineyard over forty years old, cultivated in the famous Monvigliero cru, at an altitude of 300 meters with exposure facing south and south-west, on predominantly limestone soils.

The vinification takes place in steel tanks with a maceration of 3 or 4 weeks. Maturation takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for at least 3 years, followed by a period of 6 months in the bottle.

It is a Barolo with a garnet color, complex and deep, with aromas of morello cherry, red fruits, hints of undergrowth, humus and licorice root. The sip is powerful and long with dense tannins and very persistent aromas.

To be paired with beef stew or stewed game.
