Description
La Spinetta is an interesting reality that owns vineyards in different areas of Piedmont and produces wines with a typically territorial face.
The label is a faithful expression of the Garretti cru, located in Grinzane Cavour. The vineyard is 70 years old and is cultivated at an altitude of about 240 meters above sea level, facing south. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for a couple of weeks. The Barolo then rests for 22 months in French oak barrels.
Garnet in color, it offers aromas of soft spices on a background of small berries. On the palate it is rich and harmonious, with enveloping and ripe tannins and a very persistent finish.
To be combined with stewed game, braised in red wine.
