Description
Barolo San Giovanni is produced by the Gianfranco Alessandria winery, a small family-run company in Monforte d'Alba that has been producing wine for 2 generations.
It is made exclusively of Nebbiolo grapes, which are vinified in thermo-controlled steel tanks, with a maceration of 7-8 days. The aging takes place in small French oak barrels for 24 months.
Ruby red in color with garnet shades, it opens on the nose with aromas of red fruits and spicy notes. In the mouth it is dry and harmonious, with velvety tannins and excellent persistence.
It pairs well with roast lamb, game and mature cheeses.
