Description
Cascina Chicco's Barolo Rocche di Castelletto is born in vineyards located in Castelletto, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in Piedmont.
The carefully selected grapes are vinified in small steel tanks for 15 days, with repeated pumping over. Maceration lasts 40-45 days, while the refinement takes place in Slavonian oak barrels and steel, and then continues in the bottle, for a total period of 4 years.
Ruby red in color, it presents aromas of raspberry jam, licorice and spicy notes on the nose. The sip is full-bodied and harmonious, with sweet tannins and a long finish.
The wine goes well with important dishes of tasty meat, both stewed and roasted, as well as with semi-mature cheeses.
