Description
Cascina Chicco's Barolo Rocche di Castelletto is born in vineyards located in Castelletto, in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba.
The carefully selected grapes are vinified in small steel tanks for 15 days, with repeated pumping over. The maceration lasts 40-45 days, while the refinement takes place in Slavonian oak and steel barrels, to then continue in the bottle, for a total period of 4 years.
Ruby red in color, the nose shows aromas of raspberry jam, licorice and spicy notes. The sip is full-bodied and harmonious, with sweet tannins and a long finish.
The wine goes well with important dishes of tasty meats, both stewed and roasted, as well as with semi-mature cheeses.
