Description
Paolo Conterno's Barolo Riva del Bric is is sourced from the vineyards located in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested by hand in the first ten days of October. Fermentation is characterized by the use of special tanks, which make the extraction of colour by maceration optimal. Subsequently, the wine ages in French oak barrels for 30–36 months, and then for another 6–12 months in bottle before being released on the market.
It has a typical garnet colour. The nose opens with a bouquet of intense floral and fruity aromas. On the palate it is a wine with a robust and elegant body, with a pleasantly soft finish.
A wine with a very long life span, up to 20 years, it is perfect to accompany red meats and game. It is also an excellent companion with beef sirloin, baked kid and hard and mature cheeses.
