Description
Mauro Veglio's Barolo Riserva Rocche dell'Annunziata is an excellent expression of Nebbiolo, grown in the prestigious area of La Morra, characterized by the presence of soils rich in gravel which guarantee excellent water drainage, with beneficial effects on the quality of the grapes.
The winemaking process begins with a pre-fermentative maceration at low temperature for 48 hours, followed by fermentation with maceration on the skins in steel at a controlled temperature for 20-25 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures in small, partially new oak barrels for 24 months.
Distinguished by an intense ruby red color with garnet nuances, it stands out on the nose for its enveloping aroma with dominant notes of red fruits, enriched with hints of rose, hay and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is austere and noble, with a fullness and flavor that act as a preamble to great complexity.
This Barolo Riserva is particularly suitable in combination with lamb or game dishes.
