Description
The Barolo Prunotto dei Marchesi Antinori was born in the homonymous estate, located in Alba, Piedmont, on a soft plain surrounded by the vineyards of the Langhe and Roero.
It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, left to macerate for 15 days at a maximum temperature of 30 ° C. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in French oak barrels and, to a lesser extent, in second passage barriques for 24 months. After bottling, the wine is left to refine for another 12 months in the cellars of Prunotto.
This Barolo has a garnet red color. The nose is broad and complex, with hints of violet and undergrowth undertones. The taste is full and velvety, very well balanced. Overall it is a wine with great structure and body.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, this wine is ideal in combination with courses based on red meats, roasts and game.
