Description
The Barolo Estate in Fontanafredda rises in the rows from the homonymous cru Fontanafredda, located on the border between the Elvezian and Tortonian soils of the Barolo DOCG.
It is made from Nebbiolo grapes only, vinified in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and left in contact with the marc for a period of about 30 days. Subsequently the wine ages in medium and large barrels for 24 months, before being placed on the market.
The Barolo Properties in Fontanafredda is characterized by a medium intensity garnet red color with ruby reflections. On the nose it gives a rich and enveloping scent of red fruit, enriched with elegant notes of violet. In the mouth it reveals fresh and fruity, with compact and well-smooth tannins that accompany a pleasantly long and persistent finish.
It goes perfectly with red meats and medium-long aged cheeses.
