Description
Barolo Perno by Elio Sandri is a red wine produced in the Langhe area in Piedmont. Made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes, this Barolo expresses the typical terroir of the Perno sub-area, renowned for its limestone soils and gray marl which give structure and complexity to the wine.
Winemaking takes place in the traditional way with spontaneous fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts, followed by a long maceration on the skins. The wine then matures in large oak barrels for several years, this process allows us to obtain an elegant and long-lived wine, capable of evolving over time.
On the nose there are intense notes of ripe red fruit, sweet spices, undergrowth and violet. In the mouth it is full and enveloping, with fine and well integrated tannins, a pleasant freshness and a long and harmonious finish that recalls olfactory sensations.
Ideal to accompany dishes based on red meat, game or mature cheeses.
