Description
Burlotto's Barolo Monvigliero is the prestigious and elegant expression of one of the most famous crus of Verduno, the northernmost area of the Barolo appellation. It is a small area that has always been known for giving a Nebbiolo of extraordinary finesse. The soils, made up of Sant'Agata marl, made up of clay, silt and sand sedimentations, very rich in limestone, are among the most valuable of all.
The vineyard is located at an altitude of 300 meters, in the heart of an amphitheater beautifully exposed to midday. The grapes are vinified in whole bunches in open French oak vats. The Barolo ages for about 3 years in large Allier and Slavonian oak barrels, before completing the refinement in the bottle.
It has a beautiful bright garnet red and expresses notes of aromatic herbs, morello cherries, citrus fruits, floral and spicy nuances. The sip is clear and smooth, with a delicate aromatic facet, which leads to a fresh and balsamic finish.
To combine with roasts, white meats and small game.
